Another update. I took the starter and bench tested it. The current levels in the electrical manual for the starter at 25-40 amps. First test was 32 amps. Good. I repeated the testing until the starter got hot to the touch. Final test was 27.8 amps. I know the starter gets hotter than that on the bike. |

Really interested to see how this goes..... I'm in the same boat, with one exception. If I jump it with my car, the bike fires right up. |

Be VERY careful jumping a bike with a car. Make sure you jump off the battery only, not with the car running. You can damage very important things jumping off from a running car.
