Howdy! So I'm obviously new and pretty sure the CR and the R and nearly identical in many ways. Do you think that swapping the entire headlight and everything from the CR onto an R would be easy? Thanks for entertaining my noob question. Mike | ||

I have an 08r that i have in CR trim. The headlight connector is the same. No difference. You will need the CR upper triple to mount the headlight. The lower triple on the 08's are missing the holes for the lower headlight mounts. I made some brackets to hold them. Its a very easy swap. | ||

Here are the front end parts that make an R. To make it into CR you need bars, upper triple, fairing stay (holds the cluster), mirrors. I bought the parts from Ronin Motorworks. You might check is they have any more.  I changed the lower triple too, but couldn't find that right off hand. I know it is here somewhere.
