Been a while since I messed with this. Can't remember what the trick is to remove the cover. The magnet is seriously holding onto this thing. Trying to do this without messing up the gasket, but have a back up gasket if needed. |

I hate this bike sometimes. The post that the rotor goes on somehow scored a notch in the cover so there was a ridge on the post and a groove in the cover. so the cover would shift about 1mm then stop. well after a whole lot of swearing, hammering, prying, and pulling it finally came off. I guess I'm just going to file the center hole on the cover smooth, and file the post smooth and hope that does it and it doesn't happen again. Nights like this make me want to part this thing out. |

You can make pins that will allow you to guide i on and off without doing damage. get a couple of longer bolts and grind the ends off so it's like a threaded dowel. |

Pins wouldn't have mattered. The metal was basically fused. |

They strongly recommend using the dowels when putting the cover back on. I just finished putting mine back on after the rotor swap. Removal wasnt too bad, just had to use a little muscle. Instalation was a bit of a hassle. |
