We all know about the EDM hole in the rotor mod, but can anyone tell me if there is a matching hole in the crankshaft spline? I have an '08 crank and there is no matching hole, so does the '09 crank have a feed hole and if so, what size is it? |

I thought all the 1125's had the crankshaft hole. |

Reepicheep, I am building a high performance street engine. I have three 1125 engines and none of them have a hole at the rotor side of the crankshaft. I have just completed a stroker crank, which I just received from the crank guy and while checking all the crank and Carrillo con rod dimensions, I noticed that there was no mating hole in this crank that would mate to the EDM'd EBR rotor. I also have the original ROTAX crank drawing, which I also referenced and there is no hole referenced on that drawing either. The only thing I can think of is that EBR or perhaps even HD modified the crank at a later date than the drawing and cranks that I have, hence my question. I did reference this oiling issue in one of my earlier posts. Looking at the crank I have, the only way the starter Sprague and rotor gets any oil at all would be from bleed oil from the crank end bearing and I don't think that is enough to prevent not only stator heating, but Sprague failure as well. |

I learn something new every day. That would explain why the EBR site lists the drilled stator cup as 2009-2010 only. http://www.erikbuellracing.com/store/parts-accesso ries/engine/2009-2010-charging-system-rotor-modifi cation.html |
