I put firebolt mirrors on and ran the wires to the running lights for turn signals. Since the mirrors have LED's in the them if I put LED's in the running lights should there be a need to put the resistors or whatever they are called in line? Anybody know? |

Yes, if your bike did not have led's in there before. You either need a new flasher relay that is made for led's or put the resistors in line for the ones you have added. The led's do not have enough resistance like an incandescent bulb does. That is why they flash more rapidly than the stock signals. The bike see's it as a bulb is blown. |

Inaccurate. 1125 bikes run the signals through the instrument cluster, NOT a traditional relay. No resistors are required for an 1125. |

My bad I thought he was putting led's on a firebolt. Need to drink more. |

No resistors are required for an 1125. Not entirely true. Should you change out to an after market LED turn signal you might need to use resistors in parallel to prevent the fast flash. The cluster measures current hence the parallel connection. |

I removed my rear stock turn signals they were incandescent I believe and installed LED light strips as my turn signals with no resistor and my signals still flash at the same speed. I have an '09 1125 (Message edited by JCJohnson33 on March 02, 2014) |

I hope I am clear. I have an 1125. I removed the mirrors(stock suck and firebolts are better). Put firebolt mirrors in there place. The wires that were powering the stock 1125 mirrors turn signals are now connected to the running lights(the lights on the far left and right). I thought about buying some small LED bulbs to replace the clear bulbs because they are bright and will last forever basically. The only reason why am thinking they will work without the resistor is because the wires I am using were already powering the stock LED's. So... Maybe I will just get them and return if they don't suit my needs. |

They should work just fine |
