Does all the timing marks on the gears line up the #1 cylinder locked in place on both sides of the motor and the cams timing marks on both cylinders at the same time? Mine is almost a basket case. In the service manual I could not find them using the #2 notch for anything other than finding TDC of back cylinder. Or did I miss something? It will be an 08 block with a 09 upper end from cylinders on. |

Timing marks on all balancers and water pump are for Front TDC. the cams timing marks on both cylinders at the same time? Not sure I understand this question. |

Do I line up all timing marks at the same time? Both Front and Rear cylinder cams, balancers, and water pump off TDC of Front cylinder? I hope that this is better. Thanks Rodrob |

The rear cams only line up for when the rear is at TDC. Everything else is set when the Front is at TDC. (Message edited by Northernyankee on January 27, 2014) |
