Has anyone connected to their Buell's CAN bus and observed the various CAN frame IDs and associated data? Better yet, has anyone figured out what the comm spec is? I have a Systec CAN-USB module which is easy to setup to sniff CAN frames on the bus. I want to modify my dash to display some additional info using the CAN data, but would really like to know if anyone else has figured out how to decode the frames. Remember, there's only a maximum of 8 bytes per CAN message... it can't be that tough! |

I used the ECM's serial interface with my data logger, not CAN. http://hildstrom.com/projects/buellstator/index.ht ml#loggerecm There's some discussion of CAN and related links on these two thread pages. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/681880.html?1338179294 http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/677802.html?1335535680 |

Would be cool if someone could make a little CAN interface so it could connect directly to a Motogadget gauge. Like they have for Triumph and HD. |
