To make a long story relatively short, like all the other "lucky" owners of 2009 1125s, I suffered the charging system melt-down at about 31K miles. I decided to repair it myself after reading up on BadWeb and figuring our it wasn't going to take voodoo to do the job. It did, however require the advance purchase of the drilled rotor, nut, crank locking tool and gasket from EBR, the stator from Rick's Motorsport Electrics and the best part, a CE605SB regulator from Jack at Roadster Cycle. Boring details aside, the installation was darn easy, probably due in large part to Austrian engineering and American ingenuity. My hat's off to Rick's for a quality replacement stator, EBR for the great exchange program and to Jack for coming up with a simple and effective fix to a real problem with the regulator. I ended up mounting it on the license plate frame and running the wiring through the turn signal wire grommets. Slick. So far, so good.

I did the exact same thing. It's been about 11,500 miles and the lowest voltage I see at long lights is 13.3. As soon as I take off, 13.6-7 and that's where it stays.

Once you get that gremlin out of the way, these are truly fun and fantastic machines! Congrats!!!
