I have a piston pin that is stuck in the con rod. I tried to heat the piston up with a heat gun but the piston pin is stuck in the connecting rod. I bought a piston pin puller, that by the way was useless (motion pro), but the pin refuses to go anywhere... Anyone else that had this issue?

That one? Should work fine, I used to use Honda factory tools that looked similar.

That tool is junk!! They made the threads left handed on all parts which means that it's pulling apart as soon as you start pull the pin. If the made the threads left and right handed it would have worked.....

Well I didn't plan on changing the con rods at this stage but thanks anyway!

nut, bolt, washers, pipe, will work.

that tool should work blown harley your explanation is confusing please clarify

I would think that a jam and lock nut are to be placed on the pulling end to prevent un- screwing

If the mechanism of the Motion Pro tool isn't working for you, this video should give you an idea of a quick home-built rig.

Well maybe I need to reconsider the statement regarding the conrods, see picture. Anyway I know why I had a hard time getting out the piston pin....

Yes it should.
It also should be nice and shiny, not all galled and rough...

Kinda looks like the pin I pulled from a 1940 Indian Scout that and an ant nest in the rear head.

Something went seriously wrong with the oiling system. The pin and underside of the piston are lubed and cooled by oil spray.

Yes and I don't have the history on this engine since i bought it from a member on this site. I would guess lack of oil or something. I need to take it apart some more. The cylinder and piston looks good though except for the piston pin....
