I used a cheap set of those on My SV back in the day.... they were for 4 wheelers but same diff. I wasn't really a fan. |

They weren't functionally inhibitive, but it was like having your tie too tight. Everything worked, but I could feel it there, liike my hands were restricted. I did 80 miles to work and back.....soon after my dog ate them and I really didn't care. Better off with good gloves. |

I prefer heated gloves. Like having a hot blanket around your hands. |

2009 Ulysses When I first got the Hippo Hands, I rode around with them, heated grips on low, barehanded, 30 dF for 20 minutes. All in comfort. Worth their weight in gold. Z |

But, those are around the xtant bark busters, right? You don't have that nice opening and hand room without them, which you can't get on the 1125. They wouldn't be as roomy. Look good for the Ully, though. |

Yeah, no room for these on Loretta. I did find tho, that the controls can be moved inside by half an inch on throttle side and 3/4 on the clutch side. That little bit is enough to get your hands into still air behind the fairing.
Along with that and heated grips, I made a 20 minute ride to work when it was 17 dF. Z |

You're a veritable font of knowledge. If I go to the higher bars next year I may try that with the swap. 35F is my cutoff (helmet limited, fogging issues) so my season is pretty much done in Northern VA. I may get one or two mornings above that but I leave at 5AM, so it's usually still at the low. |

I know the cold is getting to me already too. I still have stuff to put on the bike after the rotation and go out there every night and put a screw in here or there just to spend time with her. Ice here for the weekend. I don't give a damn about the cold but the freezing stuff is where my line is drawn. |

kinda bummed myself - last ride was over a week ago, sunny afternoon but -12C (a touch over 10F). My eyes watered at 85 kph and the liquid froze instantly and bounced off the inside of my visor. Needless to say it was a short ride. Now the snow is here to stay so time to put it up on the stands and clean and putter until spring... back to the original thread thought - looking at heated gloves instead of grips for early spring - any experiences good or bad with gloves instead of grips? |
