I wonder how those would work with the bump in compression. I think ill wait to see what EBR comes out with. Im getting used to launching this thing now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qsQleAFQt4 That nissan GTR was at the track the day before and ran very consistent (auto with launch control) he ran 10.2's to 10.4's |

Yeah bolts backed out of the side of the engine cover behind the exhaust. engine does vibrate a little more and those bolts have been known to back out there on theses bikes from the search I did. Its also weeping out coolant from the weep hole, going to have to rebuild the water pump and no dealers stock the seals/gaskets/bearing. Nor do they sell the tools to press the seals in with anymore. Put another few hundred miles on her this morning around town, going to friends houses, and then through the twisties. Runs awesome. Got into it with a 2013 ZX10R, he actually downshifted a bunch and gunned it first, i only went down to 4th and I sucked him in, passed and pulled a bike length in one gear. Funny thing is before I bought my 1125 I really wanted a new ZX10 because I was tired of not having a fast bike. Glad I didnt finance that thing, this buell is awesome. Deanh8 the bike sounds great and is moving really good. I wish this package was out two years ago before I traded my 08 1125R. I loved the bike but could not really run with the inline 4 bikes and top speed. I am hoping the new 1190rx is in my near future. (Message edited by methyman on October 06, 2013) |

Dean,I just spent the weekend upgrading my '08 to the 2010 water pump. It supposedly has better durability from improved cooling of the seal with better oil flow. I did not have the tool to press the seals in. I improvised with a PVC pipe coupling off my shelf that was a perfect size to press the outer portion of the seal. The inner portion of the seal I seated by screwing the impeller on with a washer. The new 2010 housing or 'clutch cover' comes with new water pump shaft bearings already installed in the cover. It only took a week for my Harley dealer to get me parts. |

Ran her today at sac raceway. Ran 10.1 @ 140 She surprised a lot of people. Thats footshifting it on the stock wheelbase and belt. Street tire also. I was the fastest stock wheel base, no wheelie bar bike there. |

can you put up pics of the clutch leak? is it oil leaking out of the engine side cover or hydraulic fluid leaking out of the clutch actuator plug? |

What you need is some wheelbase. The stock wheelbase on the belt drive is hard on tires, too. Trust me, the chain drive is the answer. |

I got it from a very good source that these are the parts needed to upgrade the water pump to the 2010 specs. The parts required are the following: R0022A.3AM Cover Q0428.3AM Water pump shaft CB0028.1AM Thrust Washer Q0430.3AM Oil Seal Q0431.3AM Rotary Seal Should be able to reuse the Q0427.1AM impeller The new clutch cover had needle bearings already pressed into it from the factory. This was not a difficult project, but it WAS a labor intensive project. I had a friend who is used to working on his own motorcycles spend the weekend at my house. We spent probably 14 hours total working at a steady pace, both of us working at the same time. We removed the swing arm to get the rear header off. The manual has you rotate the motor out. That clutch slave cylinder is easy to fix. It does not take long. |

Oh yeah......You will want a gasket for that clutch cover. I don't have that part number. The dealer looked it up for me. |

Chain drive adds a minimum of a half inch and as much as about 2 inches. |

Because its awesome-sauce.... But Figor in all seriousness I've had the same issue with that item, its been sold out every time I look at it as well. Note: Not that I can say from experience though but its on the to be bought list for sure. |

I went down on my bike, bad road conditions, and a cold tire threw me off pretty good. Im fine, no road rash or broken bones, bike is ok also. Took the fall/slide pretty good. Should be a very inexpensive fix and I was looking to change my swingarm/clutch cover to the rev b and EBR chain drive within the next few weeks anyways |
