Have noticed last few weeks that I've lost the explosive kick in the rear acceleration I used to have. Could go 75 up 110mph in a blink. Now it gets tired at 98. Not using oil, no funny sounds, good gas mileage, motor is smooth. Am wondering if our California "winter formulation" gas is the culprit. Thoughts? |

I'm down in San Diego, so I can't say for sure from my perspective. I do know my old '93 Dakota didn't like the winter blend back in Ohio. That being said, as long as it starts fine and still gets up to 98, I think you're ok. Maybe try a different gas station. My CR seems to prefer Chevron 92 octane compared to the same grade "cheaper" gas stations. Good luck! |

In order to increase HP on the RX, they had to pull power from all existing "loki" platforms. Sorry. |

You could also try checking the battery. These things seem to be really picky on battery charge level. I was riding a different bike more often and the 1125 sat for about a month. It fired right up but the throttle response was a bit off, almost delayed. I checked the obvious things and no results. Threw it on the tender overnight and all was well. Maybe something easy for you to try. |

Musclecargod - My 1125CR experience has been the same. When the electrical system is not 100% everything gets duller; starting, acceleration, even deceleration. |

Even when my '08's battery was weak, there was no noticeable degradation in performance, and installing a new battery made no noticeable improvement. I'm not saying that a weak electrical system couldn't negatively affect power to some degree, but I'd be surprised if a battery that still has the power to start the bike could make that kind of difference. |
