http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuGEF1L6JFc R1 rider is almost 80lbs lighter and 1125 was starting in way to low of a gear. Off video when we are riding around I hang with him very close if I pick the right gear. |

Seems like the R1 rider was getting a pretty good tuck, but the 1125 rider was staying upright or 3/4 position. That's got to make a bit of a difference too. |

640lbs for the Buell and rider and 580 for the R1. Buell shifter bolt got loose after first run and clutch had to be used |

The race or the 1190 kit? I lost the race but the 1190 kit is awesome! We are neck and neck if I could shit the damn thing. And he's prob the best riders I ever rode with and he's 60lbs lighter then me. I've beat many other 1000s just not in video |

Sorry to hear of your troubles, might I suggest one or both of the following, they may help shed some excess weight: (Message edited by noobuel on October 18, 2013) |

First of all, your headlights look really bright. Are they stock? Second, those 1000's put out at least 25 more horsepower than the 1125R, stock. And most of their advantage is at the top end (inline fours). So the 1125R will be hard pressed to beat those bikes in races like that. They will simply pull way ahead as speeds increase. Finally, the 1125R sounds great at high RPM. LOL! |

@Rouge Biker- Check the "My 1190 Build" thread, one sick scraper or Bay Area Racing on Youtube. He regularly butt pounds literbikes (and a Busa!) on that, even before the big bore kit. Dean's got the best launch/60ft time I've ever seen from a human person, and I'm not even into drag racing. Anyone taking liter fours on a stock 1125 is doing it on talent, not motor. @Dean- Is that the same R1 from the first vid you posted (that beat you?)..is the straight crank or the cross plane? Stock? He must be good, the R1's were never particularly great drag bikes, although I can see him still taking you on motor on a roll-on like that. (Message edited by sir_wadsalot on October 21, 2013) |

Run was bad for me, and yes same bike that beat me before. Hes a very good rider, and 60lbs lighter then me. His first time EVER to a drag strip in his life he ran a 10.3 Ive beat about 5 ZX10's since the 1190 build. all ~06 and up's, all at highway speeds. Wish I had a camera last night dude was pissed! |

My first run on my 1125 was 10.36@ 137MPH only mods were FMF slip on and a EBR race ECM. I've since had it tuned and gained about 5HP I feel that with practice I could be really close to 10.0 It was my first time ever drag racing. I bet if I strapped the front perfected my launch and shifts I could do it. |
