Nope. We had the same pictures posted on here but they were taken down. Less than two more days! |

Bleech... for sure not an EBR Well, duh, that's why it says "Hero" on the gas tank. I'm sure it's a decent bike for its intended market. |

he needed 3 years to redevelop the barracuda...poor! the only innovation i can see is the very ugly exhaust system. (Message edited by cherry_bomb on October 15, 2013) |

> the only innovation i can see I think a lot of the innovations aren't visible in a blurry picture. The exhaust is probably the result of stricter emissions. I'm familiar with a few of the innovations as a result of the race program. Major upgrades for the front brake are certainly on the list. Better oiling of a couple of places in the motor are, too. In the leaked photos, I think I see stock BPFs and clip-ons with replaceable down tubes stock. Probably vastly better OEM MCs, too. I'm sure there's more. Let see what she looks like under good lights and better photography... |

I'm sure there's more. Let see what she looks like under good lights and better photography... +1. I never cease to be amazed at how quickly people are ready to condemn a new motorcycle before they really know anything about it. |

It's an RS with little bit bigger fairings. There's no pods in there, those fans are because they expect it to sit in traffic. It's a streetbike, not a trailer queen trackday bike. I'm sorry, but nobody is sitting in 95 degree traffic on their slog-comute on their fourty thousand dollar racebike with blinkers. Of course it's yellow and looks like the B2, everything about this release is a tasteful fkuc you to Harley. The release date is also the exact date of the Buell shutdown. As far as the exhaust, I don't know about the rest fo you, but I don't have a thousnd dollars for a one off exhaust someone made in their garage. A little bit simpler aftermarket support may be helpful going forward. Why do you think we can't just get an exhaust from "anybody", like everyone else can? It's a whole lot harder to fab an entire exhaust than to make an adaptor flange and tabs on your "standard" can. Plus the side can is "old school" now, and I'm sure the catalyst etc is still underneath, and the race exhaust will be all underneath. Best of both worlds. Good thinking, Erik. Can't wait to see better pics. |

Ahaaaaaa! So the release date is the shut down date of Buell by HD. Brilliant.....I couldn't for the life of me understand why in the world you would release a bike just before winter but now it makes perfect sense. That alone made it worth the wait. Thank you Erik. |

I personally cannot fathom why anyone would buy a sportbike to sit in traffic with, regardless of brand. I'd far rather have a naked type or a sport-tourer for that kind of duty. Clip-ons suck in town. |

Good point, but I can't afford two bikes, and trying to run a mountain road or a track day on a wallowing hog of a sport tourer would sap my will to live. Kinda suffering through the troughs for the peaks, and I hate driving a car if I can help it. There's a Ully in my future though :-) |

Don't discount the ST lineup, some very capable machines available. |

> Don't discount the ST lineup, some very capable machines available Or even something fun like a Ducati Monster! I used to have the 4-wheels-is-two-too-many attitude, but for commuting, enjoying coffee and air conditioning on the way to work, carrying a briefcase and wearing professional attire... cars are just better. A lot of them get better MPG and cost less to operate than my bike, too! Once you really get into the track thing, even riding the canyons becomes just so lame it's not worth the trouble of a street bike. I like my little kia... |

Good point on the fuel mileage. I've been wondering where all my money is going...turns out I'm only getting 27 mpg with the S1000RR. My car gets 38...I'm paying a lot for the fun factor. Nearest track is 2.5 hours away. Would have to crunch some numbers to see what's cheaper. |

Thanks, sometimes that's just what it takes to get it done and at least there's a couple of us that do exactly that, make what we can, where we can. That said, you CAN buy an aftermarket can from several large manufacturers, however, you still get what you pay for. Keep this in mind as you look at the aftermarket offerings. Where did Erik Buell start at? Hmm, a garage. Nobody has said "You can't put that exhaust can on there, it won't work!" in quite some time. Btw, there are a couple of us that build full systems for 1125's, not just slipons. |

Don't forget things like tires, valve checks, riding gear wearing out, premium fuel, insurance, registration and other hidden costs. My XB12XT has cost me 21.6 cents per mile, while my truck is 14 cents per mile. Yea the bike gets better fuel economy, but that is countered by every other cost. |

@Jdugger WTF? A Kia for commuting? riding canyons is lame? YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG! and yes I have been on lots of tracks- willow springs chuckwalla, dirt tracks racing motocross, single track trail riding, adventure touring in USA AND baja mexico, man I LOVE IT ALL! I get a special pleasure commuting - splitting lanes, moving through congested roads, easy parking and canyon riding, stopping for lunch the scenery. what a great way to spend a day. oh well as they say your mileage may vary! only 24 more hour until the official EBR unveiling!!! |

> WTF? A Kia for commuting? riding canyons is lame? Sure. It's quiet and comfortable. Pretty cheap for how nice it is. And, it's big enough to hold my whole drumset when I get a recording gig, or my tools, extra wheels, ice chest, and all my stuff that goes along with a race weekend. Made in Georgia, too. As for the canyons, the nearest worth a dang around here is Northwest Arkansas, and that's 5 hours of slab away. I have 6 different tracks, including an F1 track, within that kind of range. |

It would be interesting if EBR could do more of he wanted by functioning on some sort of opensource type model. Tough to beat or even compete with the big monopolies starting from the dirt garage floor in a standard corporate production format. |
