http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INfElroIKO0 Let 200 guys purposely brake check me and approach my truck, I would do the same thing. They're lucky he wasn't packing. They dragged him out the window and beat him, I've heard they stabbed him too. I'm hearing different things, broken legs, two guys paralyzed, but I have absolutely no sympathy for these ass clowns, they make the rest of us look bad...I hope they get jail time for creating the situation. The internet defense of the squids? "The driver should have just let them pass." Really? Aside from the fact your bike doesn't give you the right to act like a child, how the hell does one car block three lanes of traffic? This is why I don't ride in big groups, or join any of these douchebag sportbike clubs. Hell, I can't even stand to talk to most bikers, much less ride with them. Look close, a few of them have their women on the back of bike, crowding an SUV that just ran over a bunch of bikes....obviously their decision makeing processes are of the highest, most responsible calibre. Pimpgangster asshats. Don't get me wrong, I don't wish for anyone to get run down, and I'm not saying anyone deserves to get paralyzed over a traffic argument, but this is what happens when you take a knife to a cannon fight. How stupid do you have to be? What do y'all think? |

discussion on EVERY board about it, and Facebook, and Twitter... ugh. Bad situation, period. No good possible outcome given the actions of the people involved. |

Sorry, I looked for it, you don't have an "Off Topic" section...it's called quickboard? |

Quickboard is an (almost) anything goes subtopic. This thread here is fine, I was just providing a link to an ongoing discussion of the same thing. While this section is intended for 1125r/cr discussion, anything motorcycle related is fine as often times we have good discussions about bikes from other brands or things like gear and accessories. Anything not motorcycle related like politics, questions about fixing your washing machine, and so on are best in the quick board |

Tough call there. I was on a rural road yesterday going home. I was behind a dually with Harley bar and sheilds painted all over it. He was going about 50 mph and moving over for on coming traffic but when I would try to overtake him he would move over to left preventing me from passing.. I finally got enough room to go around and he.came over toward me while I was along side him so I kicked it down w gear.and sped past him. I dunno what his problem was but I think it was because I wasn't on a vtwin Harley. I happened to be on my BMW. Crazy ppl out there. |

I've seen the the "Leather Pirate Syndrome" a LOT in the past....they see plastic, they get a bad attitude. It's a valid stereotype. No less valid than "Obnoxious Gangsta Sportbiker Squid Gang", "Obnoxious Hell's Angels 1%'ers", "Overleathered Ducatisnobs", "Mustachioed Antique Brittbike Nerds" or "Obnoxious 20yr old Import Toonerz"....and my personal favorite "Backwoods Troll". We earn our stereotypes.... But in all seriousness, I feel like I get a lot less attitude from HD people than I did say, 5 years ago. At least they wave and such now. Still, it would be nice if they would wave me by when they're going 5 under on a nice road. I always did on my Sportster. I think a big part of it is that they just don't have that sort of thing in their riding culture, they don't know any better. It's not like most of them are reading books to study ridecraft. They literally don't know etticuite. Etticate? Whatever...but yeah sometimes people are just buttholes on purpose. |

The HD guys in my town all seem happy to wave at anybody else on 2 wheels. As long as we're all still agreeing not to wave at scooters (Message edited by jimustanguitar on October 03, 2013) |

Well judging by those other "before" videos, this gang appears to be mostly thugs. It's like Mad Max except for real! |

It looks like the camera guy overshot the original incident stopped and looked back. It looks like there was a bike down way back there. the driver then takes off, a hit and run? |

So the moral of the story, if you feel endangered at any moment, feel free to run someone over with your car, you get a free pass. |

I have *no* idea how you can watch that video and come to that conclusion 1125rcya. Here is the moral of the story:
quote:It is SO important for us to teach our children... live like a thug, die like a thug. If you use intimidation and lawlessness to your advantage, you will likely find yourself in many situations where, suddenly and unexpectedly, intimidation and lawlessness works to your disadvantage. Most of the time it will work out OK anyway, except for the times it kills you.

We had two motorcycles hit head on, on a highway here last week or so. Cagers are not the only danger. I just ride like 50% of the others on the road can't see me, and the half that can are actively trying to kill me. Regard, CaptainKGB |

I'm sorry but when you completely surround a car, truck, suv with a bunch of bikes, and then one bike slows down 4 feet from the front of the vehicle, the bike is at fault. This guy panicked and hit the gas. The end result was unfortunate and tragic. Still, I may have done the same thing if it were me in the cage. |

They were saying on the news that 3 or 4 of those bikers may have been off duty policemen.....imagine that. |
