After all the airbox mod discussion....how are yours set up?

Also, I read something about a miss with the stock Rotor, and there were specific VIN numbers affected. Where could I find those VIN numbers to check it?

I've also got a dent the size of a silver dollar in the front of my muffler....

Still trying to work out my scraggley curve.....

Mine is OEM with a K&N filter.

I don't know answers to the rest of your questions, but all of my stock exhausts have that same dent. Rocks I would suppose.

I figured as much on your stock airbox...and my dent's from a bigass speed bump. And thanks.

Anyone know about the rotor miss? I don't feel like I have a miss but I would like to rule it out.

Could you please explain more about this rotor miss? The only problem I heard about any break issue was a reroute of the braided line.

I have a fairly new/clean stock exhaust sitting on a shelf, btw.

One cannot run both a 190 tire and a belly pan if using the stock exhaust... so I don't use it anymore.

@Jdugger- I would like to go to something a wee bit louder....also, I'm getting married in a month, and am therefore broke!

1125Rcya- I'm not sure, I read a reference to it in another thread somewhere. Something to do with a faulty stock rotor on a specific block of VINs on 08's....it was causing a misfire every three turns of the crank, or something like that. It would run, it just wasn;t right, and sounded like a recall issue. I haven't been able to find any details, my bike doesn't run that choppy, and I haven't had any charging issues.

My dyno graph was really choppy this summer without the inner airbox cover on...I don't have a stock pull to compare it to. Dugger says it's probably because they didn't strap the bike, just sat on it. I figured this would be an easy problem to rule out, as I would only have to check my VIN.

Some rotors had incomplete machining of the notches the KPS(crank position sensor) reads.
Big-time rideability issues.

Several good aftermarket pipe options.
Dean Adams'(KEDA)work and Kevin Drum's(Drummer) are great sounding and good on power.
I have a Drummer SS on Loretta that was black. I stripped the paint and polished it.

I live in the 'burbs now and leave for work at 0 Dark Thirty...as loud as the Drummer is on an XB12, I don't think I could get away with it....hte KEDA's seem loud as hell too. If I still lived in rural VA....I ran race exhaust on the SV1K, it was Christawful loud!

That drummer looks great, by the way. Is it stainless? Did you seal it?
