Riding home, get about a mile away and my signals start flashing and won't go off. Notice the oil light is on. Stopped checked oil I just changed it so I though maybe it was low...nope its ok. get home go through diag procedure and it says my cluster is bad. I know the 08 1125's had problems, do the 09's as well? Bitch of it is I just sold a cluster a few weeks ago thinking I wasn't going to need it. .So again...WTF

Are these cluster's repairable?

Some parts of it, yes. Check your charging voltage at idle and above 3k rpm at the battery. Should be above 13 at a minimum.

Everything else checks out fine. I was toggling through the diag mode to see if there was an oil pressure setting. bike runs fine, I could deal with the oil light but the signals as flashers not so much. Plus this would give another excuse if a cager ran me over.

The only cause for all 4 signals flashing I know of is when the BAS(Bank Angle Sensor) triggers.
You may be looking at the symptoms of 2 problems.
The oil light doesn't come on because the level is low, it's for pressure.
<edit>Either the sensor is bad or you have a pump/system problem.

My 08 has an 09 IC but my IC's failure was a collapsed button dome.

I'll have to check that. I went by the service manual for the oil light being on. the oil pressure sensor rests at ground till oil pressure builds up. As per the manual I disconnected the lead for the sensor and the light should have went out. The next step is to see if the wire is grounded out between the cluster and the sensor. That checked out fine. The next step would be to change the cluster.

Would tripping the bank angle sensor not throw a code? Would it not also shut the motor off?

Did you unplug the IC and check for a grounded pressure line at the right pin in the socket?
If that wire is shorted to ground, the light won't go out when you disconnect the sensor.

It is supposed to kill the motor.
Recovery is to cycle the keyswitch.

The wire was not grounded. Cycling the key did not change anything.

Not sounding good for your IC...

Just as a "last-ditch" check the grounds.

BAS doesn't throw a code AFAIK, just kills the engine and flashes the signals.

Good luck

I'm going to play with it more tomorrow. I can't find anything in the manuals about all the signals flashing. as of right now I'm leaning towards the cluster.

Are you absolutely sure that the battery is not going out?

All 1125's require an excellent battery. If you have the original battery, install a new quality one in it's place.

Because these bikes have the CAN network, every signal, every sensor, requires voltage that is as perfect as possible. Without that, any troubleshooting you are doing may or may not pinpoint the real cause of your problem(s).

All electronics require proper voltages and solid grounds to work as designed. It's that simple!

I'm positive its not the batter, it has good voltage, doesn't hesitate when starting. I put it on a battery tender every night.
