Just completed 1125R EBR Rotor and new stator install, the engine sounds normal. My friend thought he could hear air sucking somewhere, so we removed the airbox cover and listened, it was hard to tell from that perspective (should mention that I am hearing impaired, so I have difficult enough time anyway). One of the exhaust gaskets is just about shot, I am not sure if that is creating air noise or not? The only thing I can think of re: air noise would be with the airbox baseplate and everything there seemed to install well. I took the bike for a ride and all seems okay. Any ideas or am I chasing a ghost here? |

Take a piece of tubing long enough to go from your ear to the bike. Put one end in your better ear and wave the other end around suspect leak areas. The tubing will let you hear even a small hiss. Happy hunting. Z |

Just had the same issue. There are two breather hoses going into the air box . Not the ones to the throttle body. Make sure the hose on the right side of the air box is connected on both ends . If not connected you will get a whistle type noise.. |
