I love the ride, but this bike belongs on the track. If you are interested make me an offer. Not any more than any other bike--all I've done in 10K miles is oil changes and a valve check. I think it's pretty streetable too--it's got a less-aggressive riding position than practically every other full-on sport bike. That said, the 1125 can be a pretty intimidating bike, especially for a newer rider, so I can understand wanting something more easy-going. The SV650 is a really beginner-friendly bike that isn't boring for experienced riders either. Might consider one of those.
