I see the main page shows production numbers for R's and CR's. 1125R - 5836 1125CR - 3099 1125RR - 3 Does anybody have any idea on how many of the R's were White/Blue from the factory? I see SO MANY black ones, but so few white ones; same with red for that matter. I'm just trying to determine the rarity of a factory white/blue 09R. No real need; I'm just a curious cat. Any advice or input is appreciated! |

When my buddy bought his from hal's this past month they told him there were only 35 made with that specification. No source however. |

I like that number; but I can't help but wonder if the dealership was playing with the number to make it seem like a sweet deal. Thanks for the input! |

Just spoke with HD, the rep said for some reason the production numbers by color don't exist for the '09 bikes. However she did say that the system shows only 1,814 1125R's were manufactured for the '09 year. In other news, I verified my baby is legit Arctic White! If anybody else gets info on this let me know. Maybe the CR guys want to call in to HD and get info on production by color and see if that exists for the CR's. |

Good news for you I guess! I also wondered the same cause they said they let it go for steal and tried to back that up by saying that only made 35 that way from the factory...maybe I can dig through some files here at work and see what I can find. I have 1 of only 2 sold in Brisbane, know of only 2 more Australia wide. I have put a CR front and an XBS seat on mine, kept all the stock bits though, these things are RARE! |

Where's the Hero blue at? Is it the frame and wheels instead of diamond blue? We need a photo gallery that's easier to browse. I'd love to see one of the translucent style blue tanks from an XB12 on a bike like this. They're probably different shapes though. |

The Hero Blue is the wheel, windscreen, and tank decal color. The frame is black. The diamond blue you're speaking of relates to the frame color of '08 R's. (And maybe later models, I'm unsure).
This is a dated picture of my baby, need to go out for a photo shoot once I get my KEDA ceramic coated. I too have wondered about a translucent blue air box on an 'R. I believe the air boxes are the same size on later model XB's, however the translucent air boxes always seem to come with the X-Brace on the top. And I believe past threads have determined that they're glued on quite extensively. I remember a thread from somewhere (possibly BuellXB) on a mod to remove the X-Brace and polish out the glue marks, but it was still faintly visible. This is just from memory, so I could be wrong here. |

The translucent airbox cover from the XB does bolt right on, but in my opinion it looks terrible on the 1125. The airbox cover was available with and without the rubber X. (Message edited by froggy on August 20, 2013) |

That color scheme is by far the best looking for the 1125r. That's about as much lipstick as you can put on a pig! Dugger had one this color before he sold it and became a racer. (Message edited by dustinz on August 20, 2013) |

Froggy, You know of any suppliers that still have non-Rubber X translucent airbox covers? I'm sure it looks different, but for the right price its something I might just have to buy. If nothing else, I can say I have it and hang it up on the wall. Dustinz, I agree with your first sentence... |

Also, anybody know where I could source new Hero Blue Decals for the airbox? Mine have a little bubble in them, almost looks like tree sap, but its part of the decal. Thanks in advance. |

I've been waiting to get my Flexi-glass fairings painted to post any updated pictures, but I have an '09 1125R with the Hero Blue translucent airbox cover. I'll snap a few pictures tomorrow. You can buy the translucent blue cover without the X, the part number is M1224.5AKMBX (it comes with decals). (Message edited by noobuel on August 20, 2013) |

Looks sweeet! I like it... I need it... This forum causes me to spend too much money... It certainly sticks out. I'm sure some people love it and some people hate it, but for the 4 bolts it takes to swap it out I think it'd be cool as hell to have around. |

I bought a set of the pre-cut paint protective film for the tank cover from eBay to reduce the frequency with which I have to break out the Novus plastic polish. |
