I have heard that these are available, but have not found them anywhere? Anyone got a lead on this? Supposed to be much brighter and have an integrated blinker within. I bought the upgraded headlights and am planning on doing that install asap.
Froggy, your right. They are a little pricey, but given the near misses I have had from complete idiots at the wheel, it could only help in being seen. Especially when carrying precious cargo!
Thanks Shawns. My pocket book wouldnt see that damage as much. Noticed it has 88LED's so thats good. Got some pictures of that mounted on your R to show it in the day and dark?
When ever the powder coater decides to finish my wheels I'll try and get a pick. Its at my buddies shop in pieces cause I sent out the swing are and a few other pieces too.
Thanks Terry. Rob at XBlights makes a great product and from what I know of him, is a great guy. He has already responded to my inquiries and been very helpful along with suggestions. Thanks Fellas!
My only concern with any of the "integratd" lights is, lack of separation between the tail/brake light and the turn signals.
While I understand the appeal of a "clean" look without turn signal stalks...I personally like having my signals on their on stalks, in their own location, separate from the brakelight so it doesn't wash them out.
XBlights makes an amazing product and uses top notch components. But for my personal bike (09 CR), I have the stock LED signals and a factory 2010 LED tail/brake light. Personal preference is all - I like bright, AND I like separation (and I don't mind stalks).
I like both looks. Turns with tidy tail and no turns. Like you say, its all in personal preference. XBlights makes a great product and as with most things, you get what you pay for. As with most things, if you have the ingenuity to build it, you can.
I have the first integrated stop/run/turn light for an 1125 from XBLights. I was trained in Electronics in the Navy and Robert makes the best taillight you can buy, IMO. His parts selection and assembly is without peer. The module is totally sealed and uses the highest light output LEDs on the market. STOP is blindingly RED.
Joe - from your standpoint, get the integrated light and keep the stalked signals.
With my integrated signals in back and the marker lights being my front turn signals, I seem to be well seen. I've had no scary left-turners trying to kill me or texters running over me.
I find that it doesn't matter. People just don't pay attention. I have kicked a door or to to gain a persons attention. The last A%S was wearing headphones listening to his ipod while driving. Don't cars come with radios these days.
