Hey guys, I tried a search but could not find a straight forward answer. Will the wheels off of an XB fit on the 1125 with no mods? Obviously new wheel bearings but anything else?? I want to take the black wheels off of my 09 CR and go Translucent Orange from a 04-05ish XB. I just miss the orange/black look that I had with my XB12S. |

Yes any wheel, front or rear, off any 03-09 XB or 1125 will work, don't even need to change the bearings. For the rear wheel you will need to put on the CR sprocket. The older XBs use a slightly different rear rotor, it does not have holes to get to the rear caliper mounting bolts, you can still use the rotor it is just more difficult to install and remove the wheel. Use your 08+ rotor if possible. The 2010 models use a slightly different rear wheel with bigger bearings, it will work you just need a 2010 1125 rear axle. Also to note, but it doesn't affect the wheels you are buying, the magnesium grey colored wheels from a XB12X or XP are heavier than the rest of the XB/1125 wheels due to reinforcement for off road duty. |

Post pics. I was always going to do that swap when I had my CR. I bet it will look awsome. Just need to find the translucent orange badges to top it off. |

Froggy forgot to mention, the rear wheel mounts "backwards" because the belt is on the other side on an XB. If you buy a set with tires...you'll need to mount the tire the other way. |

Ahh. That's what I was wondering because the rotor and sprocket are on different sides. Thanks a lot guys, now the hunt will be on for some translucent orange wheels. |

If you come across any cherry bomb red ones, I'm looking for a front only... Shoot me a pm if you find one. |

Removing the caliper is the easiest way to get enough room to remove the wheel on a stock bike. I've done it without removing the caliper (due to a missing 6mm hex socket), but it was at least 10 times harder and was more involved with additional steps like removing the hugger, license plate holder, then trying to wiggle the wheel out without scraping up the wheel, sprocket, and swingarm. Spend the extra 5 minutes for the caliper and save the aggravation. |

Thanks for the tips guys. I'm hoping to find a set that someone wants to trade for. We will see. Probably pretty hard to get my black ones powdercoated with the same translucent look. |
