Does Anyone Happen To Know If The Swingarm On The 08S Are Thick Enough To Drill And Tap To Put Stand Spools On? |

Yes, D_Adams did it on his bike, and at one point was selling a kit for it, but I do not see on his site anymore. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/437434.html?1296466877 |

Damn, maybe I should go back into production on those. $50 + shipping to get them? Glad they liked my design enough to copy it. Stainless bolts, nylock nuts, just the spool is a tiny bit different. I think I originally had them for $35 shipped. (Message edited by d_adams on July 10, 2013) |

I would buy a set too...definitely one of my pet peeves with the 1125. |

I would take a set too, even though I have a Drummer exhaust ! Will they still fit? |

i made tapered shims to put inside and outside the stock swingarm and used off the shelf sliders. not enough material to tap it and expect it to function properly in all cases. i wanted to spread the load better than nut only. won't make them for others though. too busy and not a sponsor. have fun, tim oh yeah. looking for pit help this weekend for AMA mid O 337 258 6764 thx |

Ride fast Tim. I haven't had the need with the stands I have. I suppose if I did, I'd just make them since I'm playing machinist lately. Z |

Glad they liked my design enough to copy it. I think you'll find that these have been available since 2008 and were designed by Free Spirits for use on their own race bike. I used a similar setup on my own XB12 racer in 2005 by drilling the swingarm, so it isn't a new idea or anyones copy (other than being similar to most Jap superbike paddock stand arrangements). |

My apologies then. I'd never seen any others available for purchase (specific to an 1125) and had apparently missed the original thread on how difficult it was to mount them properly on the swingarm due to it's shape. I made my own back in 2008, then started selling them because of demand. |
