The 1125r was running perfect last week...however when starting today from cold it sounded unusual almost like it was pinking, once warm it seemed a lot better but still not right on the journey home, any ideas welcomed. Thanks |

whats pinking? Have you done anything to your bike since last week? What mods do you have? |

most likely bad gas. fill it up with fresh premium gas. my 99 x1 was running poorly yesterday, put in fresh gas and viola, runs good again! |

Bartone-Pinking is when the air/fuel mixture in the cylinder starts off correctly in response to the ignition but then small pockets of air/fuel explode outside the normal combustion cycle. I have not one anything to bike since last week. Two_seasons-I think you are correct, and im going to try some fresh fuel.cheers |

I was all set to correct you, Foxy_1, and then I found out that some people use the word 'pinking' to describe the event I know as 'pinging'. TIL... |
