http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBYmhJDov5A Normally I would ride through just about anything, once you're wet, you're wet, but my front tire is completely bald. (The new one shipped today lol.) I was so soaked I couldn't even dry my glasses. That "Matt" guy said he does 230 miles a day to work between that metric cruiser and his Gixxer 750. Matt asked about the sex machine and said he'd wanted to get one. Surprise surprise, he didn't have a Harley dealership less than an hour away, and the ones he contacted about it didn't sound too interested in supporting a Buell if he bought one. Said he had an 1125 all picked out and ready to go, but he bought the Gixxer instead. I don't blame him. Two ex Army combat arms guys under an overpass with their bikes, in the rain. We both even got out in 2007. Small world. I should have gotten his number and converted him back to the dark side....I'll see him on 66 again one of these days. Wads waves arm.... This is not the gixxer you are looking for. Matt, with blank stare, "This is not the gixxer I'm looking for." Wads waves arm.... You will sell your gixxer and buy an 1125R. Your V-Twin makes you strong...give in to the dark side... |

Wow! You have balls of steel to park there on a rainy day with cars flowing by. I've seen those videos with cagers running into parked police cars on the side of the road! LOL! |

I actually rather enjoy a good ride in a heavy rainstorm. I enjoy caging in them too. That rainstorm looks a bit mild for my tastes though, no joke. Dunno, I'm weird like that - I find it relaxing to go for a good cruise on the CR in a nice heavy downpour. Sound of the rain hitting the visor (or windshield if I'm caging) is just relaxing as heck. |

I used to rain ride all the time, But I don't do it on the 1125R. I baby it and try not to get it wet. (It's my baby.)Hell, I used to ride with snow on the ground. The First Gear snowmobile (I think they call it a rain suit now) is fantastic. The storm had calmed down a lot by the time I pulled the camera, and the only reason I actually stopped is that my front tire is flat spotted and slick in the middle. The water was starting to stand in the lanes, and if you go down, 66 NOVA traffic would most likely roll over you to avoid a traffic jam! |
