2009 1125R - 10,981 kilometers and I think the stator has failed! Details: - Out for a ride today, the check engine light and battery light came on suddenly - System Voltage message on instrument cluster - Checked system voltage on cluster and watched it drop very quickly from 14V to 10V to 8V and then died, nothing! Lucky for me, I was 500m from my house and it is downhill, coasted home and into driveway Sound familiar? Advice, where to start? |

Replace the stator, get the EBR modified rotor cup, install both then enjoy. |

The exact same situation happened to me, except I was 350km from home late on a Saturday afternoon. A long tow job back to the garage at $3/km. Luckily, I had CAA Plus so the first 200km were covered and the extended warranty just about covered the remaining kms. It's the stator that's gone. I hope you have it covered under the extended warranty, but either way, get the EBR rotor as Froggy suggests. |

Thanks Captjoe, warranty is done! I take it from the distance being in KM in your post that you are from Canada. Who or where did you get your stator rewound/repaired (I am in the NB)? Will order EBR rotor as recommended. |

Yup, I'm in the land of the traffic jam: Toronto. Mine is still under the extended warranty so it was replaced with the true original harley part... So guaranteed to fail again someday. Not sure you want to go the OEM route as it will probably be the most expensive option, but then again, with the EBR rotor you might not have to ever change it again. |

Buy the EBR rotor, nut, locktight and case gsk,my used stator if it checks ok and bring it here with new oil and filter, drop it off or stay and help.Saint John isn't that far or i can get Louise to pick it up if you'll load it.There is a company in Sherbrook Que that can rewind your stator I went with an 08 setup, working great since swap. I have e-mailed Rick's Motorsport Electrics - http://ricksmotorsportelectrics.com/ in New Hampshire about shipping to Canada. I like the fact that they redo stator with 240 degrees C wire vs. 200 degrees C (stock). Will post what I find out. |

Received response from Rick's, they ship to Canada. Priority Mail (6-10 business days NOT including customs clearance) is about $32.95 and Express Mail (3-5 business days NOT including customs clearance) is about $45.45. |

I have a PO box in Calais if you want to ship it there and pick it up,it would be faster but you still need the other parts. You can put my stator in if you just want to get it running while you wait for your parts.Do they need your stator to rewind or do they have an exchange program? |
