Failed for remove the sprag clutch from the old rotor and install on the new one. Rode it maybe a mile up the road in testing it. Question for everyone: How screwed am I having done that little bit? Like, am I looking a far more expensive screw up than before now? Any input, as always, is greatly |

Isn't the sprag clutch needed for the starter motor to crank the engine to start or am I missing something? If so how did you start it to get down the road? |

That's what I thought! I was thinking "Is there some magical part that I missed that I didn't believe to be the sprag clutch." But no, not the case. EBR sent me a rotor with the sprag clutch already installed, as I thought, so my meltdown yesterday was in vain. I feel way better now, that's for sure. And not as mechanically inept as I did last night either. |
