http://www.erikbuellracing.com/store/models/1125r/ 106mm-big-bore-kit.html Guess I'm going to have to get this and see what it does with one of my exhaust systems. I can see hitting 150+ at the wheel pretty easy now. I wonder how close to 160 I could get? |

After getting my A** kicked off the line by the Ducs and Aprillas I now know what my winter project will be for the bike. I'll also be heading to the drag strip to dial myself in. A sprint race is too short to be fighting your way past slower riders because you get shuffled back at the start. |

they should be able to extrapolate on other exhaust system tunes. |

Not without having the pipe there to test/tune with. |

Sold out already. That's a lot of coin for 8-11hp. |

I was thinking the same thing. Pretty steep price for a gain of 8-11hp. |

what would fiberglass fairings do to reduce drag and what is the equivalent in HP? |

I'd love to see some dyno charts with it, while 11hp doesn't sound like much, the payoff is probably in a nice boost in torque. Similar with the XB9 vs 12, there is only like a 10hp at peak power difference on the dyno, but the 12 eats it alive across the band in raw torque. I would also be curious how this affects the general smoothness of the motor and the overall fuel economy, but we will probably have to wait till the mass produced 1190s come out to see. |

Well, this is just the boomers & the bore. The "real" 1190's have different cams & crank, so it's not quite the same. Still would be kewl to have though. |

General_tso, (Stephen) "After getting my A** kicked off the line by the Ducs and Aprillas I now know what my winter project will be for the bike. I'll also be heading to the drag strip to dial myself in. A sprint race is too short to be fighting your way past slower riders because you get shuffled back at the start." Its not "just" H.P. Stephen, but gearing can help a bunch with quick starts but at some loss of top end speed. Its all a compromise. Drag bikes are geared very low to have good 60' times and get a hole shot. On the drag strip its not always H.P. and top end but who gets to the finish line first. Maybe consider your winter project to include a chain drive conversion to be able to adjust to whatever racing you're doing. Respectfully, Bob |

I think Erik and the elves (raceteam) would love to see 8-11hp gain for so little coin!
