I get an IAT displayed on the cluster on startup every now and then.

How do I test the sensor?

I had to check Loretta before I said anything.
The AT displayed should be close to ambient when you first turn the key on.
It will update after a mile or so at 20 plus mph.

Sometimes it isn't close to ambient but it is the temp the intake is seeing.
IAT - Intake Air Temperature.

So, do I just need to replace the sensor? The code I have is a P0113 intake air temp high/open

check the connector first, make sure that its snapped in and check the wire condition going in. the sensor can be removed and changed with out tools, IIRC it twist locks into the mouth of the intake air horn just below and behind the bottom triple tree. right side as seen from the front of the machine facing the back.
other wise yeah replace the sensor.
