Fired the bike up today after replacing the stator and rotor mod...

Still getting battery light, check engine, and voltage system error lights.

Must be the VR then, huh?

As usual, any feedback appreciated

Check the for ac voltage coming out of the stator harness. Use a dvom set to ac voltage and place leads on pins 1-2, 2-3, and 3-1. With the motor at 3000rpm you should be getting 45-55volts. If you are getting that, your issue is VR or further into the system (battery, fuse, wiring). If its less than that you'll need to look at the stator again.

Thanks Shane,

I'm running the same setup as you so that advice is very helpful.

So I can still run that bike and just disconnect the stator from that one part of the harness?

Essentially yes. With the stator disconnected your bike will be running purely off the battery. So as long as it's charged it should run long enough for you to be able to test the stator. If your battery is getting low, such as 10 or less volts, I would either put it on a charger or hook up a tender before testing.

You should be charging it WAY before it gets to 10v. Take it lower and it's probably pretty much toast.
