Popped off at some point in engine rotation. Don't recall seeing it before. It is about 4.5 inches long.

Goes on the throttle body right side. It's a vent hose that goes up into the airbox.

I saw that same tube come off of my bike, but couldnt see where it came from! I noticed it when it started to burn on the exhaust header.
Do I really need it?

Thanks Cat.

Rob, anything that is part of the intake/vacuum system is best left in place unless somehow compensated for.

I don't think this is part of the vacuum system, actually. I think it's the air supply for the IAC.

Not having it would mean some amount of unfiltered air is going into the intake system...

Crap!
I already threw the damn thing away. Now I need to get a new one and figure out where it goes.
I guess it probably came off when I was doing the de-noid a few weeks ago.

The bike will probably run fine without it, but you are sucking in unfiltered air when you idle.

This hose connects the IAC stepper motor to the lower airbox cover. Not having it means that You not only suck in unfiltered air during idle but all the time as the IAC stepper is open allways on the one hand and You have an open hole in the lower airbox cover on the other hand. Not really a good idea.
The above said is not true if You own a 1190 :-)

Well the good news is that little tube is only $1.89 so I have a new one on the way. Hopefully I can figure out where it is supposed to go.
