I've never adjusted front forks before and would like to make them stiffer, I see the adjusters in top of forks but just want to get some direction before changing anything. Instructions? Is it as simple as it looks? |

tightening the colored nut increases the preload on the spring making it stiffer. tightening the screw inside the nut increases the rebound (edited thx ) valving. The lower leg is much the same only this is only a jounce (edited thx ) valving setting. Small steps get best results. I use a socket and ratchet and set the wrench as though it were the minute hand (of a clock). set it forward five minutes, from wrench at ?:05 to ?:10.
