Hey all. Thought I'd post some videos for those with cabin fever waiting to get back on the track. If you havn't done a track day and are thinking about it, get out and ride one this year. It's the most fun you can have on a bike.
I ride with my brother who has an S1000. You'll see me chasing him and then a ZX-10 gets in the middle of us. It was a lot of fun until we got into traffic. You'll see from the rear view that the S1000 has power on tap.
I'm running the Michelin Power Cup DOT Race tire. I have the VA front and B compound rear. They hold up well at Mid-Ohio, but I destroyed a C compound rear at Barber. My lines aren't so good there. I think I'm on the edge too much at that track. The VA has an aggressive profile that was a little un-nerving at first, but it improved the turn-in dramatically for me. The front tire and radial master cylinder gave me the most improvement in lap times.
Yes we were running in the advanced group. I was wringing that bike's neck trying to keep up with the liter bikes, but I knew it was going to be good footage.
We have a good group of guys we meet up with every year and have great fun. One guy has an Aprilia twin (bike in the rearward footage that's bright orange). I can just pull him on the straight, but he's very fast in the corners.
