I searched on this and couldn't find anything. I have some stock parts that I want to repair road rash on. The damage isn't all that bad and I'm wondering what others use. Is there a product or technique better than others? Also, what kind of paint would you use for a good looking repair? |

I think Al Lighton would be a good go-to-guy regarding rash repair and paint. Remember last year at the track? He was cut off by another rider coming into the corner way too hot, and on the inside to boot! |

I've had good results with wet-sanding the body parts. Haven't tried painting plastic tho. The lacquer I put on the frame is dried/cracked like a dry lakebed. Zack |

If flat black/no gloss is what you want, check out this thread: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/406 2/679446.html I'm very satisfied with the way the plastic came out after media blasting it. Al |

I sanded the scratches out of mine then did a coat of Gorilla adhesion promoter and three coats of clear acrylic urethane. Looks like new. |
