I recently purchased a 2008 1125r that has been lowsided on the LH side. Is the gap between the belt and inner pulley race normal or do I have a swingarm alignment issue? Thanks in advance

That looks a little off. When standing at the back left of the bike and looking at the belt, can u read the white writing or is it upside down? If it's upside down the belt is on backwards. If the belt is on backwards it will pull itself out like that. |

on mine, rolling the bike backwards causes the tracking to go the wrong way ( away from the flange like your pix) - roll the bike forward for a couple of revolutions of the big pulley/rear wheel and see what it looks like... |

My '08 does the same thing. I also posted the same question and it seems to be a common issue. My belt is on correctly and I have also tried a different wheel and rear sprocket and it did the same thing. I have not figured out what causes it but it has not hurt anything and the bike performs fine. |

Right on. I'm gonna keep riding it like I stole it then! Thanks all |

Just wondering, did you perform the rear wheel mount properly? Tighten the wheel to some speck, and then loosen/re-tighten? |

My 08 runs like that too. Looks like the belt's been rubbing on the belt-guard. A washer or two between the guard and frame will fix the rubbing. Z |

is that after rolling it forward or backward? the belt naturally tracks inward while going forward, and outward while going backwards. |
