Wanted to let everyone know that the 2010 zx 10r master cylinder is plug and play! The feel and power is much improved over stock and well worth the $120 I paid on ebay..there are cheaper ones, but I wanted one in pristine condition and with a black lever. Only caveat is that it hots the fairing stay and limits lock to lock, but shouldn't make a difference riding on the track. Will |

get the steering lock limiter from EBR just to be sure. would be a shame to not get through a nasty headshake due to the brake lever colliding with the stay. |

I have the same on my street bike and it works great... but!!!! Please do not under estimate the risk of the handle hitting the faring stay and locking up the front. I thought the same until I lost the front (as I have done several times before but saved it) and the lever hit the stay and kaboom. Let me tell you a locked up front end lowsides HURT! It will make a difference, especially on the track, where the jammed lever will send your bike cartwheeling after it launches you off. Please fix it. I've been there. top view again notes: a) throttle housing rotated forward - had to redrill "stop pin hole (7/32? dia)" appox 5/16 down/forward ( note how "high" kill switch/starter button is...) b) throttle cables tied together with spiral wire harness plastic...front brake light switch wires just fit c) rotated throttle hsg. allows correct rotation of brake lever-m/c - triple checked to allow clearance (less than 1/8") with fairing stay. d) specimen cup (brake fluid resv...) mounted to bottom of top triple clamp at "handlebar" appox 5/8" spacer - drilled and tapped a 6mm bolt into bottom of triple clamp e) may need a custom brake line - I run my forks "flush" with the top of the triple clamps...brake lines don't stretch.

yes had "flex/give" with the "in line" busa design...lacked confidence in trail braking with the front....the radial ( Gixxer) design is solid and easy to "squeeze/dial in" just enough brake before lock up - confidence up...now need new tires!!! |
