Is precision engineering and EBR the only ones who make a gp shift kit for the 1125? I was hoping for an inexpensive change, like my xb. |

Those are the only two. It is an entirely new shift linkage setup including foot lever, there is no way to cheaply convert it like the XB as the lever is directly connected to the shifter shaft. |

for about $100 or less, you can use Suzuiki bandit parts and a little ingenuity. I built this one last spring and ran it all last summer

Free Spirits also makes one. As I was typing this I checked their site to provide a link, looks like they discontinued it. Bummer as it was on my to get list. http://www.freespirits.it/prodotti.php?lang=2&cat_ id=352&prod_id=77 I like FreeSpirits because it puts the linkage arm above as opposed to below the toe peg. I have one now built using the Suzuki parts, but it interferes with access to the side stand, so every time I get off the bike I have to lean over in a really awkward/unstable way and reach down with my hand to flip the stand out. I expect one day I will tip over and the bike will land on my head. (Message edited by Noobuel on December 06, 2012) |

Ya, that is the kit made by FreeSpirits. I wonder if there is remaining stock at any of their retailers. Dibbs!!! |

Just put a small extender plate on the kick stand. That's what I did instead of bending down. No clearance issues with it below the foot peg. |

There's a lot that easily gets in the way of the shifter if it's set up that way. (Message edited by jdugger on December 06, 2012) |

Kruizen: What Bandit parts did you buy? Has anybody tried the XB shift lever on the 1125? |

for XB's all you need to do is rotate the shifter from what I remember |

I think this was the year parts I used: http://www.bikebandit.com/2004-suzuki-bandit-1200s -gsf1200s/o/m147663 I made a spacer out of a stack of washers, then used a bushing on the inside and a large washer on the outside of the pivot.i also had to bend the shifter arm out a little to get the positioning I wanted and also grind a small notch so when lifted it fit around the foot peg. The linkage bar needed to be cut down a little bit, put a bolt on first so when you back the bolt off it cleans the threads. Overall about 1/2 hour to get everything mounted from the time I opened the box of parts. |

Here is a picture of the standard FreeSpirits, notice how it has an arm that connects to the trans, the red is where I think the linkage would fall.

Ok, so they are using a giant extender/off-set on the spline... |
