For starters this is not my bike and I do not know the person selling it but I have been watching this on craigslist for a couple of weeks. If I didn't already have one this would be sitting in my shed. Someone needs to buy it so I stop trying to come up with ways to buy it. It seems like a great price for the bike. http://richmond.craigslist.org/mcy/3356211831.html |

It's a decent price, but you could have bought a NEW leftover 2008 1125R for ~$4k during the fire sale. |

Yes but there is no fire sale anymore and good luck finding a new 2008 1125R now. So I'd say that is a very good buy today. |

Hughlysses - do you have a time machine? I want to go back in time, I have a few things I know I would do differently.... Ha! Wouldn't we all? Save your $$ and wait for the 2013 EBR's, that's what I say! |

Hughlysses- you went from saying that $3800 is high because of the firesales to saying save your money for a $20,000 limited production EBR model. Hummmmmlysses? By the way, Yes, It's my bike. Inquire within PM or call / text 757-334-1415. I havn't owned it long and I'm the second owner. I made a gamble and tied up my extra $ in it and now a situation more important to me than a motorcycle has come up. She is clean and perfect except for a bit of clutch weep. $100 part from EBR or do what I do and keep an eye on the DOT4 level and keep rollin'! At $3800, I don't care what you do, but that price is as firm as JB weld. I put 300 miles on her last weekend, so she is good to go! Fresh pirelli Diablo's also. My loss... who's gain? |

Last time I checked the dealership in Tyler TX still had a few new 1125Rs but they are 09 models. |

Hughlysses- you went from saying that $3800 is high because of the firesales to saying save your money for a $20,000 limited production EBR model. Hummmmmlysses? Lee- no intention of trying to torpedo a Badwebber's sale, but then, I had no way of knowing that, did I? I was just trying to provide Jhuppdog with an argument for NOT buying an another 1125, which seemed to be what he was asking for. I agree that $3800 is a good price for a great bike. |

all is fair in love and war and websites, my man. I was just defending ridiculously low price. You won't find one cheaper anywhere, not in this condition. maybe wrecked or sans title... Thanks for looking all, if a badweb guy buys it... oh wait, price is rock bottom, but I'll crack a beer with ya, on the house. Take care guys. |

I think it is a great price. I bought my 2008 a month and a half ago for the same price, but my right pod has some scratches on it, the right side of the swing arm has a scrape on it and for some reason the previous owner rhino lined the front fairing. Yours sounds like it is in better condition plus it comes with a beer. I feel as though I got ripped off since mine didn't come with a beer. Hopefully everything works out with the situation that you are in and Good luck with the sale. |

LOL! It is the beautiful Diamond Blue frame and wheels. They should have continued that in all years. Such a beautiful color combination. |

i know, I was commenting that his post calls it "nuclear purple" usually people get ripped apart on here for saying things like 'eric' or saying something false about a buell, surprised no one else mentioned this part already |

Black frames absorb more heat causing stator failures. Good luck finding a purple framed 1125 with a failed stator! |

Lee, just out of curiosity what kind of response have you had to the ad? It's a super deal at that price (I already have 7 motorcycles and am in California or I'd buy it). Why do you think no one has stepped up? Had many lookers at least? What reasoning do they give for not buying? I'm just amazed at the low interest in these especially for next to no money. Good luck and thanks. |

That is an amazing deal Lee I paid full-monte for Loretta, $13.3k out the door. Not a single regret but I'm glad I got an 09 Ulysses in 2010. Loretta's been waiting for some lift-time and surgery since May. Since you need so little $$, sell some blood or plasma and keep the bike. Keep a kidney handy tho for a new EBR... Z |

Dup, There has been good response. The usual craigslist crap, like late night ballers who don't answer in the morning, tire kickers, odd trade offers, etc. 2 or 3 serious calls a day though. I showed it last night to a guy who is working with his bank to get a loan. I'd be shocked if I still have it by the weekend. Act fast if you want it. I'll deliver it anywhere within 50 miles of VB. long distance buyers, feel free to make shipping arrangements. I heard that people have been using "PODS" to ship bikes and jet ski's for much cheaper than traditional means. Cars are too heavy, but might be a cool loop hole, their rates are pretty low. |

Damn! Congratulations to you and the new owner. Duphuckincati, I tried to sell my '07 VFR800 last year for $5k with 22k miles on it. The bike was in perfect condition, seriously! Garage kept, all original, and babied since new by me only. Not a single serious bite and I live in SoCal. A few dreamers called/emailed and asked if I would sell it for $3k. Dream on. I decided to keep the bike. OTOH, my buddy sold his '10 BMW R12000GS in less than 3 weeks for a whopping $14k! People with a lot of $$ are older, fatter, and buy adventure bikes because those are the "in-things" to have for people in that age category. They also can't ride sportbikes due to health issues. People looking for sportbikes are younger, more fit, and want to go really fast! So they either need to finance or can't get financing, or no cash. So used sportbikes sit. Or in the case of new, they finance through dealerships IF they have a job. |

It's a decent price, but you could have bought a NEW leftover 2008 1125R for ~$4k during the fire sale. I bought my bike during the fire sale in Texas which seemed to have some of the best prices in the country... i never once saw a 1125 for 4k NEW.. lowest i saw was 5k..... Maybe there was a couple, but its not like ALL the firesale bikes were that cheap. But then again if you didn;t buy your bike during that time frame it doesn't matter. I bought a NEW 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee in 2009 with 187 miles. it Had a Recall that took almost 2 years to resolve (affected 1500 Diesel GC's). Regardless of the "issue" it was fixed and i bought it for 19k OTD.... Sticker price was 41k... Till this day i still see Grand cherokee DIESELS selling for 20-25k.. My point being, that anything is worth what people are willing to pay for it... Biggest problem with selling a buell, is most people, don;t know the company and only want Fixer GSXR's, CBRRRRRRRRRR's, or yami's... those are the big names in sport bikes... |

A loan for a $3800 bike? really? Anyone offer to pay with their ebt card or Wic checks! I guess I'm just surprised that someone with no money would be looking to buy a motorcycle. |
