So, my fuel pump died on me. pulled it out and tested just the pump alone and got nothing. Looking for a replacement but haven't found a source in the for any of the part numbers listed in either of the topics below topic. Anyone have any suggestions? To be clear, I am just looking for the pump itself, not the whole assembly. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/690529.html?1352760762 http://www.ukbeg.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=57 94 |

You know as much as I do at this point. I am getting close to getting Loretta on a lift for some surgery. It would be nice if I could test my pump assembly before installing it. As it is, the dyno will be the test, so I hope it passes... I figure if it doesn't fix the low/choppy power curve, I'll look for a new pump-motor. Boogiman talked of an Aeromotive pump, but didn't give the model #. Battyone had some specs to look for and found several pumps slightly larger, still, no consensus. Would be nice to have an actual p/n to order. Zack |

Not sure if you can easily get the parts, other than buying a used one on fleabay and cannibalizing it. There's always American Sport Bike - they have the pump assembly for $262. Depending on how much butt-pain you want, it may be easier to just bite the bullet for a new one that will work after you put it back together. http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/18512.html |

Paying $300 for the whole assembly just seems insane when the pump is the only thing that is bad and cost next to nothing to replace (if I could find one). These things aren't specialized in any way, it is just a generic pump. |

Ahhh. That's the trick - finding one. If you do, post up the info (I may need to fix mine at some point, too) |

It's not quite a generic pump, walbro pumps do not "like" the pulse width modulation used by the ecm to control fuel pressure. I now use a pump bought from ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GS342-HRC-HF-290-LPH-fue l-pump-Race-Grade-not-255lph-compatible-with-Walbr o-/251169851596?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_ SM&hash=item3a7ae3c8cc Works very well and at lower duty cycle than standard. Is 1mm larger diameter than std but still squeezes in. |

Here is an old link that might prove useful: http://www.ukbeg.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=57 94&p=78494&hilit=1125+fuel+pump#p78494 |

Suzuki's TL1000 is no 1125, but the Suzi guys are using a fuel pump out of a Dodge caravan - AirTex P/N E7012..here's link with pix http://www.tlplanet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34 152 I've also seen the Airtex P/N E8335 thrown around and Bosch N69496...don't know the spec.s - need to compare physical size as well as pumping data |

Battyone, thanks for posting that up. Unfortunately, it is in the UK (I'm in the US). Hopefully, I can find one closer. Yobub, that was the topic that got me started on this. Nuts4mc, that may be helpful. This would be a lot easier if any sellers posted specs on these things. Or if there were places one could go and actually look at them. |

I am awaiting confirmation but it looks like the Airtex E2068 has the same specs as stock. It is also dirt cheap. I'll post up when I have the details. |
