I came across this last night when reading about the EBR ECM vs trying to tune it yourself... http://www.thetuniversity.com/services I can tune a carb, but have never played with fuel injection before so I still lack some confidence that this route would be better than a plug-and-play ECM. I haven't looked into it in a couple years, but I thought it was stated that the 2008+ Buells couldn't be tuned like this via the stock ECM. The search function revealed nothing on this, but I find that hard to believe that nobody here has done this since the site says the guy has been doing it for over a year. ANy of you guys have it done? Any thoughts on this versus the EBR ECM? Seems like the tuniversity tune would have the advantage of being tailored to my bike. On the other hand, buying the EBR would mean I wouldn't have to screw with the stock ECM (and plenty of other people have had good results with the EBR one). |

You can't have searched very hard! Look up ECMSpy for mono and TunerPro. You can do as much on a standard ecm as you can on an EBR programable. |

For those prices you are way better off getting the race ECM. Self tuning or getting someone to do it for you is fine, I just wish I knew sooner that I could make $300 for 5 minutes worth of work. |

battyone, i havent paid much attention to the buell tuning world since ecm spy for mono was in pre production. i am actually the one that translated the instruction file into english with the help of google translator. i havent been active on here much the last couple years, but i will be looking into it further again. i would rather do cheap than have to pay for something potentially only marginally better. |

Ecm spy for mono works great, I've been using it on my race bike all season. using shift light, launch limiter and shift kill,as well as tuning ignition and fuel maps. And all it'll cost you is £50 for your ecm definition and £25 for a cable. I now use tunerpro rt to make a lot of changes, but still only communicate with mono spy. |
