This is for all the Buell 1125R and 1125CR 2009-2010 riders with a stator problem. We fixed it. We are curently working hard to, find good solutions for the fried buell 1125 09 Stator problem. In a few weeks we can deliver the TM rewind Stators from stock, and are working on a core Rotor with EBR oil jet modifiction in it. Rebuilt Hot Shot Buell Stator: *This stator is wound with 240 degrees C wire (vs. 200 degrees C stock). Core required in advance **Before installing this rebuilt stator, be sure to get the upgraded version of the Buell rotor. Otherwise stators will continue to burn & will not be covered under warranty. we still ask you to ship the old part as core replacement to us before we send you out the replacement unit. http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/artikel.asp? guid=YXHFSC&aid=5295&cid=0&s=&a=&aname=Buell_1125_ 09_Stator_rewind_ |

This is great news. Would buyers send their core stator to your new Texas location or to your Netherlands shop? |

Hey Dris. You should sell a kit containing the stator rewind, drilled rotor, gaskets, nuts and bolt, locking pin and possibly a better voltage regulator and instruction. All you need to get the problem solved once and for all. |

Didn't the oiling rotor fix the problem though? Props for a good quality rewind but thats not the main problem here. There are already quite a few places to get good quality rewinds yet as far as I know EBR are the only provider for the oiling rotor. I just don't think saying "we fixed it" is appropriate unless you've fixed it without the use of the ebr rotor. That aside I think its great that twin motorcycles continues to support Buell Owners. |

+1 with Andros. I'm from Slovenia and It's not easy to get all the parts from 3 or 4 different countries. Please do the kit. |

QUESTION TO ALL OFF YOU. When we make a kit, would you like us to add exhaust gaskets en the O-ring for the oil cooler hose. |

Dris - Do you remove the oil cooler when you do this? I've done 2 stator/rotor R&Rs and I just roll the cooler out of the way. The fittings rotate. Zack |

Normally you just disconnect the lower oil coiler line to get it out of the way of the cover, I've taken mine of twice and never had a leak. But I guess best practice for a low cost item would be to replace it to make sure. Scott |

I have not done anything towards fixing my charging problem yet,..i would definitely be a buyer if, as people have mentioned here, this is a complete kit, maybe with instructions. |

In my opinion. I think that exhaust gaskets and O-ring for oil cooler isn't very expensive, so it would be more yes then no to put them in a kit. |

the oil cooler and exhaust are both quite a distance from the ignition cover and do not not to be disturbed to service the stator or rotor. The oil cooler hoses, however, are in the way and can be removed by the pulling the little clips that hold the hose in the fitting. Assembly is the reverse. I've had my cover off at least 4 times and the hoses do not leak. just my 2 cents, YMMV |

Just pop the clips on the oil lines like Tbowdre said. I will add to his instruction though... put the clips back on the fittings immediately, that way you don't worry about losing them. They don't need to be off for reassembly, as the oil lines will snap right in with the clips on. |

Here's what I'm talking about. Cover off, lines up
Cover off, lines down
I went to Lowes and got 6 bolts. Cut the heads off and "sharpened" them in my lathe... alignment pins

It's Not about how we badweb people do it (-: Its more about if it would be a requirement to be in the kit?. |

So Easyrider, how is going with that kit? Will be available? If it will be, what do you think it will include? - high temperature stator rewind - drilled rotor (like EBR) - gaskets - nuts - bolt - locking pin - better voltage regulator - o-ring - instructions That would be a nice kit, of course with the right price. Did I forgot something? |

If you can find some 1 oz tubes of Loctite 272 and 648 to include, you would have a turn-key kit. Nice idea Dris. Didn't mean to derail with pix, just an easier way. Zack |

I'm confused, why would you pull the exhaust? I had no need to pull it. I did pull the oil cooler, but I could see doing the rotation method |

"why pull the exhaust?" I understand that the stock muffler blocks the port to install the Crank Locking Tool. |

So Easyrider, is there anything new about the kit maybe? Is it on your plan to do it or we will have to go the hard way? Nice day |

On your website shouldn't it be loctite 272? |

You need both 272 and 648. 648 is for the rotor nut. |

Good work, thank you. Just one more question, is the "Buell 1125 09 Rotor upgrade oil jet" on your shop page modified exact the same as ebr, or is it different? |

Pretty sure you'll find the 272 in for the ROTOR NUT and the 648 for the sprag clutch bolts. Dont get it wrong it could cost you. |

please check the manuel for the correct procedure ( only the TQ value is prefered to a higher level, according to EBR's experience with the nuts running loose ) |

believer, In the Rotor the extra upgrade oil jet hole is not 100% identical to the EBR rotor, but functions the same (we changed diameter, angle and collecting hole and a larger diameter start hole to match the crank outlet better ) Because of the time and money involved in shipping these back and forth ( little bit off a logistic nightmare ) We let a local tool maker (shop) perform the work for us exclusivly, to keep the cost low, and that will benefit for our customers |

Good stuff but i still miss a package and deal price if you order EVERYTHING: - high temperature stator rewind - drilled rotor (like EBR) - gaskets - nuts - bolt - locking pin - better voltage regulator - o-ring - loctite - instructions Would be lovely to take some of the nerdiness out of it so one could do the whole job with one package and one order. |
