Not directly related to the above, but an interesting document on the company that worked with EBR to develop the 1190RS radiators: http://rbroyal.com/sites/default/files/EBR_2PG.pdf |

Ha! A little gem uncovered during my digging during lunch: http://www.ebrdealer.info/list.htm Looks like I'll have a dealer within ~200 miles, which isn't too bad... |

Hm, EBR rad for the 1125R? Seriously though, I'm staying reserved until I see some products from the company. Yeah, we have the 1190, but that is it. All we've heard is they have something coming for about a year now. Need something more than vaporware. |

All we've heard is they have something coming for about a year now. We've got a little more than that in print (or at least in electrons) in published articles. We know there are three 2013 models planned, the RX, SX, and AX. It's been stated these are a sport bike, a naked, and an adventure touring bike, they're based on the 1190 engine, and they will retail for less than $20k each. From the document above, we now know they have a significant number of dealers lined up. NOW, if we could just get some high res images and spec sheets, I'd be good 'til next year. |

Do you reckon when they "EBR" approach dealers they show them images of the future bikes? If I were going to be a dealer I would want some kind of idea of what I would be selling. |

^ That's a very good point. I'll guarantee you there are Badwebbers that work or who have worked at some of those dealerships. We need a leak! |

I didn't get any sense at NOLA that they are really holding back, just that they are very busy and doing one thing at a time. Erik did say that he knows that we are pretty anxious out here though. For my part, we are having a early, cold winter here in the Arctic. A new bike would sit quite a while anyway. I have two cars, five bikes, and two bicycles in the garage sardined in. I am pretty sure that the living room isn't available for storage. |

I asked the Ducati dealer if they were going to carry EBR Buells. He didn't even know they were making bikes....lol. He must be living in his own little world. I had a peek at the Panigale. SWEEEEEEEEET. |

From what I hear those Panigales are difficult to ride and they get hot as hell. They are a beautiful bike though. I would love to take one for a spin one day. |

A little additional info I managed to glean from the web; the following dealerships either come right out and say they are going to be EBR dealers or there are other pretty good indications they intend to be: San Diego BMW Motorcycles- San Diego, CA Woodstock HD/ Buell- Woodstock, IL White's HD/Buell- Lebanon, PA Fast by Ferracci, Willow Grove, PA Garry Griffith Cycle, Chattanooga, TN AF1 Racing of Austin, TX is hosting the EBR forum, so that it seems for sure they'll be a dealer, and there are several other locations on the list where the EBR dealers seem obvious. |

Earlier in the thread, it was brought up that several BadWeb members are suspiciously missing. Froggy was spotted in Georgia last week. |

Hmmm, from the ebrdealer.info/list posted above, there's only one major MC dealer in Redondo Beach, CA I'm aware of and that's Del Amo Motorsports, a busy multi-brand shop. EBR would be a great fit there, adjacent to the South Bay Curve of the 405 fwy. What are the chances that, I wonder, if consideration for this shop might possibly be related to a visit I did there last year while looking into possible Spyder stator candidates for 1125s in their Service Dept, when I spoke to the general manager about possibly carrying EBR in the future. She didn't outright dismiss the possiblility but mentioned something about EBR competing with similar brands they carry. The shop in Lomita has gotta be Matt Capri's South Bay Triumph. Matt's always been a high-performance enthusiast kinda guy. Nice new shop he's got there, twice as large as his previous location in the same city. |

One dealer that I'm surprised is not on the list is Ray C's of Lapeer Michigan. They have a Harley dealership that still supports Buell Parts and Service. They also have a UJM dealership across that street that has sponsored Taylor Knapp in Superbike, so they get the multi brand and multi segment concept. Seems like a fit to me especially when you consider there are no MI dealers on the list. The only other Buell friendly / race oriented HD dealerships in MI (American HD of Ann Arbor) merged with Brighton HD and no longer support Buells. Might have to swing in there and put a bug in Ray's ear... The HD dealership is nothing more than a pole barn with a shingle out front, but I think an EBR would look nice in the show room across the street. Would love to have some drool material within driving distance :-) |

I suspect that among the people here we'd have a pretty good shot at identifying most, if not all the dealers in these locations. For instance, the EBR in dealer in Murfreesboro, TN seems like a given, and another dealer is located in Braselton, GA where Geoff May just happens to own a motorcycle store. There are probably a lot of other locations like the ones noted by Sparky above that are pretty obvious. On the other hand, we don't know how current that list is so there could be a significant number of locations that haven't been listed yet. At any rate, if they have that many ENTHUSIASTIC dealers when the new bikes are released, it seems like things will be immensely better than they were under HD, although some of us may have to drive/ride a ways to get to a dealer. Wow- this thread has continued for over a month without a single post from Court, Froggy or Blake. Undoubtedly they know the scoop and have been sworn to secrecy and forbidden from even commenting on any remotely related threads on Badweb lest they give something away.

Poking around on "LinkedIn" this afternoon, I uncovered another small tidbit- confirmation the new bikes will be introduced soon:
quote:I was recruited in 2011 as Interim CEO for Erik Buell Racing, Inc., the $183M Buell motorbike division of Harley Davidson that was spun off in late 2009 when Harley was in financial trouble. At EBR (www.erikbuellracing.com ) I raised $18M of private funding; $3M of private equity; and put in place an $8M senor revolver. I executed a new three year strategy that will result in the introduction of three new sport racing motorbikes in the Fall of 2012.

Interesting. EBR is the Buell division of HD that was spun off in 2009? BS. I wonder how accurate the rest of the statement is? |

It's from the interim CEO's "Linkedin" profile. He only came onboard a year ago; I guess his understanding of the history of EBR was a little fuzzy. BTW- any clue what a "senor revolver" is? (Message edited by Hughlysses on October 27, 2012) |

Well if you goggle "senor revolver" it looks like it may be another band Erik's in and they like guns and pot? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRogVOI8xfs Makes as much sense as other stuff here. |
