I need to remove the spring so i can get it sodablasted and powdercoated. Does any of you know how to remove the spring?

compress the spring and it basically falls apart. the retaining collars are held in place by pressure from the spring.... using a proper spring compressor for a motorcycle is highly recommended! Most shops will do this for a minimal fee
