My rear Rosso is showing steel belts at about 4,500 miles. This is spot on to the mileage I managed out of my first two III's. I am really thinking about going to the Angel ST's. I am curious how the ST's feel compared with the other two tires? | ||

basically the corsa 3's and the rosso will have a sharper profile than the angel's and have more outright grip. but the angel's will have comparable grip at normal street riding speeds but will get you a lot more mileage out of a set of tires. unless youre a crazy fast street rider, you wont really notice a big difference. hell the angel's will even hold up at B- pace at the track. | ||

I've had the IIIs and Angels, both tires are great, but I do feel the Angel is a better overall street tire. Lasts longer, doesn't need to warm up as much, same grip in normal riding, and in the rain the Angels come out on top. Only advantage I can see with the III is that it is gripper at track paces than the Angel, but that is non issue for most 99% of the time. I've heard the Rosso improves everything vs the III but I don't have any experience with that one. | ||

I've got bridgestone 023's on my CR and had over 7000 miles out of a rear compared to about 2500 for the standard pirellis | ||

Saving money by going with cheaper or longer-wearing tires makes financial sense, as long as you don't out-ride your tires and crash! | ||

I did the Corsa Rosso and those were nice, but I really like the Dunlop Q2's best They do wear fast though | ||

My choice would be the Corsa Rosso. These tires are designed to be sport and sticky but last longer than the Corsa III's. They also have a more V-shape so the bike's steering is faster. That last part is a BIG plus for the 1125R since this bike, like the XB is very sensitive to tire profile and suspension set up. Get the tire profile wrong the bike steers like a pig. Get the front to rear sag wrong and the bike steers like a pig. Get the Rossos. Avoid ST tires on the 1125R. The more V-profile, the faster your steering will be and it makes the bike really easy to ride in the twisties. If that is important to you. OTOH, if tire life is most important to you, then get the Angel Sport Touring tire or Dunlop Sportmax II. | ||

. Does this topic come down to, money sense vr's skill Just thinking; if your tires last only 2500 miles no burnouts. I don't think it is wise to move towards a harder tire. Why? Well hell, my stock set of Pirelli's lasted 6000 miles. The harder I road i.e. gassing real hard on take off, popping wheelies and goosing it through corners, the tires wore much faster. My main thought, pushing the limits when you need just a bit more grip in that oh shit moment, you'll know if you made the right choice. I know people who push the limits of their tires every day. Two things they have, throttle control and experience. At the days end its your call. The number one cause of death is living | ||

Going on 12,000 miles on the original Corsa IIIs! They are finally asking to be replaced, although I think I could probably do another 2K or 3K on them. I'm definitely more of a "tourer" than a "racer", however, I like a good lean angle at times, just not enough to have to get gravel out of my teeth!  After lots of research and counter research, I'm going to go with the Diablo Corsas. The little angel pattern on the Angel STs freaks me out. I don't want to meet up with angels for a long, long time! |
