Always loved the 1125, not so much the styling. Im a tuber/xb guy and never ventured to the water cooled bikes yet. Its only a matter of time. I would HAVE to put lower fairings on it, keep my XB the naked bike. What options do we have with them? Quick google search shows a bunch of ugly ones. Anything I should know coming from the air cooled bikes? How are theses bikes on power? I will be racing it, how do these engines hold up a a nonstreet- track only bike. |

If you want fiberglass, something like this will work. Flexi-glass bodywork, but it will not fit with the stock exhaust. Just to give an idea of how much room there is (or isn't). If you're coming off an xb9, an 1125 will have 40-50 more hp in stock trim. Add this to it and it will be even more. I suppose the big draw would be the 11k rpm limit instead of 7500. As far as reliability on the track, I'd guess jdugger's probably got more track time than most on his 1125. Last time I talked to him, it had 40k+ miles on it. Down a little on power at that point I think, but still running. Edit: Just checked your profile, you have a turbo xb9? Not going to be a huge power difference, just the rpm limit. left coast supplier - all f'glass...don't know about exhaust clearance... a possible experiment with glass mat and resin... http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/buell/1125R200 8.htm always like the look of these ( BMW Boxer Cup specials) http://daviddreesen.blogspot.com/2012/03/bmw-r1100 s-boxercup.html ...need to save my pennies for one of Dean's exhausts, ECM and the "pan" from Airtech |

While I would like the fairing to go even lower, I get a LOT of compliments on the look of the bike, FWIW Here's the factory optional lower fairings (Message edited by sprintst on October 24, 2012) (Message edited by sprintst on October 24, 2012) |

funny thing is those intake bubbles/ radiator covers /whatever you call 'em are tough to see from the riding position. Even harder when you get that tunnel vision. You either want one or you don't. I've ridden Aprilia RSV-R, Ducati 996 and 749, every breed of jap bike, and I am genuinely impressed by my 1125r every time I ride it. Outside of the cockpit... I think they look cool as hell, there is something to be said about not looking like another R6. (Message edited by leethestud on October 24, 2012) |

I looked into the full fairing options on the bike. I almost got the Buell lowers. What I did instead was Ceramic Coat my OEM muffler. Now why do I want to cover it up now? It looks so cool! LOL! Plus, it's so easy to maintain like that. Having said that all those above look great too if you want the full fairing look. |

I have the CF Buell Race fairings (Front, Sides, and Bellypan). Same as the AMA pace bike here: (not installed - primer/needs paint - hopefully soon) Worked with Trev at Flexiglass to get the front fender and tank in matching CF. Tank is a tank, but love the lines on the fender: (Pic from Badweber Mr Critical's thread) I also got a Catalyst solo tail - nothing special and only FG part - might get a matching Flexi in CF some day, or the 1190 tail i'd really like... |

Sprintst ~THX. I noticed their comment, "It is not recommended to carry a passenger with FastPack attached to your seat". Have you ever had anybody on it? If yes, what was the passengers response? |

a friend I ride with has had his girl sit on it, he said it was fine, she liked the cushioning I just remove it when I don't need it, very quick on and off, just 2 velcro straps and the stretch fabric |

Here's a picture with the fastpack in both the expanded and collapsed position:
They're handy for light stuff, but I probably wouldn't carry my bowling ball in it (if I had a bowling ball). http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-prodshow/16240.html |

S133PY the Buell fairings on the Pace bike are tied in under the upper fairing. Do you have this set? If so what is there manufacture and can you tell me how to get a set.? These are the nicest ones out there I think Red (Message edited by jetbuilder on October 26, 2012) |

The Buell pace/race fairings were in the last Buell P&A catalog:
If Sl33py can't help you with manufacturers markings, I've noticed a couple of sets show up in the classifieds, or perhaps EBR might still have a set laying around. Good luck with your search, 1313 |

It's a pity you can't buy a set of B2 Barracuda bodywork for it. THAT would be a sharp 1125! |

Does anyone know if the Barracuda still used the 1125 radiators with the airflow reversed or were the radiators turned to face the airflow. |

Here are some front-end shots; hard to tell from these but maybe someone will know: Different side shot: No clues on this rendering of the bodywork either:

I would love to see Al at American Sportbike or EBR come out with some brackets that could be used in any one of these fairings. The pace bike above is the epitome of what setup I think we are all looking for. Just looks so damn sharp. -J |

Yes those are the part #'s for my race fairing set. Someone during the firesale contacted me that they had the CF set for cheap... so i snapped them up. They are in primer and not the beautiful set shown in clear above (i wish). I'm hesitant to sand them to see if they are clean like that under the primer. They are sooo light! And i love the lines. I will get them painted and mounted sometime soon, but it's on the bottom of my todo list... I'll pull them down and see if there are any other identifying manufacturer marks on the inside. If so i'll post them up for you. Love the B2 and 1190 tail - can't wait for that to be available!! GL! rob |

These are the ZAS Fairings that I had modified and re-enforced with extra Fiberglass as they are 1 layer of weave fiber thick for racing. They are super light and the mounting hardware is nice too. I only need to get a RT4 from dean with the full headers that he makes and re-tune my bike, I also have the EBR ecm, K and N, and Twin Motorcycles velocity stacks from Dris. I really turn heads now. And yes the theme is Knight rider, all decals were replaces with 3m reflective decals, and were cleared over so they won't peel. you can feel them. |
