Got the Compufire yesterday and installed it using an old VR to make a wiring harness. The pos and neg were labeled backwards. The wire with the fuse block was labeled ground and the wire screwed to the housing was labeled pos.I wired the one with the fuse as the pos.If anyone sees where I messed up please tell me.Seemed to work on a 10 mile test run.Thanks. |

So how's it doing so far? What does your voltage look like? |

Left out yesterday without the wiring upgrade.14.9 at first and then stayed between 14.3 and 14.6 which was fine in the twisties but cruising down the highway it was like someone would tap my kill switch about every ten seconds.Pulled over and hooked up the upgrade and the bike ran fine.Volts stayed in the low 13's and high 12's with 50 watt HIDs and fans running.May try replacing the relay and see what happens. That was about 110 mile run with 80% twisties. |
