1125 CR with 19000 miles has not wanted to start a couple times. One time it did throw the fuel system pressure error otherwise it runs fine. So I'm figuring the pump is giving up. Is there anything else I should look at? |

Was the 12k valve check done? |

Sounds like low cranking voltage could be the cause. Test battery and cranking amps |

12000 mile valve check was done. After charging battery was when the fuel system pressure error popped up. Motor shut off after error appeared. Thanks for the ideas. |

How do you get into the diag mode? I don't have the electrical manual yet. |

I understand you had the battery charged, but you still need to have it tested. a fully charged bad battery is still a bad battery |

Thanks Dennis c. When I went into the diag the fuel system showed 440 KPA. Upon starting it ran for 10 seconds dropped to 0 and died. Now shows 40 KPA and I don't hear the fuel pump. Gemini I had the battery tested & it was OK. Looks like I'll order a pump Monday. Thanks for the help. |

Gunter found some alternatives to the standard pump http://www.ukbeg.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=57 94 should be easier to get and cheaper-because you'll be able to buy just the pump not a complete assembly. |

In 10 seconds you should be able to go from 1/2 to a 1 mile at a time then restart do it again. Start it in gear that will help your distance. |

Drc there was a thread here recently about fuel pumps if you are adventurous you can grab the aero-motive pump I listed and swap the pump rather than the entire assembly |

Boogi - I may be doing that soon too. Loretta gets some lift-time soon and I'm going to swap in the take-off pump ass'y I bought last year. If that doesn't fix my power loss, I'll replace the pump in the ass'y I have out... Thanks to you and Battyone for your info.. Zack |
