Carbon fiber body has about a 10" crack down the length of the can. I plan to repack it and duck tape/gorilla tape it for a couple of weeks while I sort out my next move.... any thoughts on a cheapo quick patch to get me through? I already have new packing material.... track day coming up in a couple weeks too thanks. | ||

This is pretty normal with this can, unfortunately. Send it back to FMF and ask for a Stainless wrap. They did mine on warranty and repacked with a stainless steel wool much less prone to blow out. They really do support the product. | ||

I've replaced mine twice! both times no repack was indicated! They replaced my SS with titanium. They said I should repack every 5k instead of 10k. instead of duct tape get worm drive hose clamps. You can pick them up at home depot for a few bucks. I got by using them but that pressure will start putting cracks at any weak point since the packing is probably shot! | ||

contact FMF before you do anything ghetto to fix it. They've been great in the past and i'd be surprised if they didn't hook you up. | ||

Why not let FMF fix it for free and then sell off a good FMF to someone when you get the RT3? |
