I have Compufire 55402. 1800 miles, so far so good. Charging in range of 12.9-14.5 V. I also designed custom cable to connect to the stator connector. http://www.compufire.com/index.php?option=com_cont ent&view=article&id=50&Itemid=50 |

Hey Yugi, does the compufire VR fit in the stock position (hole centers same) or is it better to mount it in the breeze at the front of the bike somewhere? |

CE-605 SB. I'd recommend it over the Compufire. They've actively denied warranty coverage to 1125 users before, even for one that was DOA. In fact, my first CE-605 was DOA. The guy who sells them knew my application was the 1125, and replaced it with absolutely no hassle. I mounted mine under the tail section, bolted to the undertray, just behind the license plate. |

Thanks for that info, have VR blues at the moment, bike has been at the dealers a week today, (Monday) might be able to pick it up on Wednesday arvo if the planets align! Soon to be no warranty, want a reliable combination and have an EBR rotor on it's way already. Only trouble is I've already drilled some holes to mount the stock VR on my custom aluminium undertray I've built to go under my XB12S seat |

I've been using the Shindengen FH020AA for a few months with no issues. I don't have the harness fix, so it charges at 13.4 or higher, usually 14.1. It will fit in the stock location, but you have to modify the mount by cutting off the studs and drilling new holes. |

I also have the FH012AA. I replaced a bad stock VR at 2000 miles. My stator finally fried yesterday at around 10,000 miles. I have had the harness fix installed since i put the new VR in and it charged around 14.1v all the time. |

No reason to buy the FH* regulators, IMO. They're shunt regulators, just like the stock Ducati regulators, so it's not going to affect heat in the stator. |

No but they are more reliable and charge at a higher and more consistent voltage... If you have a rewound stator an the EBR modified rotor than you don't really need to worry about lowering heat anyways. On the other hand all the aftermarket regulators are around the same price so if you are goin to get one it might as well be the most efficient one out there... So the compufire or ce-605 might be the better choice |

Compufire does fit in the stock location, but you need to cut the undertray, because it's thicker. |
