How do you get to that allen bolt thats on the bracket with the oill coooler? Every thing I have is hitting the muffler and putting the allen wrench, socket in at an angle? Im not going to round that head out so whats the trick? Ive tried a swivel but the allen socket is too fat and hits the muffler before letting the allen go in straight. Maybe Ill have to cut an allen wrench down and weld it to the swivel but I have a feeling the swivel is going to be too fat and hit the muffler too. There has to be some slick trick I havent been able to think of....BTW the manual doesnt help...lol | ||

Wow, that's nice Dean. The oil cooler and the plastic heat shield below the rear header were "last minute" additions made after the prototypes the press got to play with had major "hotfoot" issues. The original cooler was smaller and access to the nut was simple, not so the production cooler... Not quite sure how Dean managed to get to the nut with that wrench. I heated and bent the box end of a wrench in an "L" and capture the nut from the top. Another method I've heard of is to use a very long extension and a socket, coming in from the right side Z | ||

Got it. I just used a longer allen wrench that had enough flex to bow around the exhaust. Drove it in the allen bolt until it seated all the way and out she came. This thing sounds awesome with no exhaust. I only ran it for about 20 seconds, so don't freak out. | ||

Not quite sure how Dean managed to get to the nut with that wrench. I managed too, just reach under as Dean shows you have to fiddle with it a bit.} For the other side get some long Allen drivers for 3/8" drive, we have a local HF its about 13$ for the set.
